Landlords and tenants can file an application with LTB. LTB will hold a hearing and make a decision on the disputed issues. Or, if both the landlord and tenant agree, a Mediator from LTB can try to help them reach their own agreement.

The CAT provides dispute resolution system to help people resolve certain types of condominium-related disputes. Current, the CAT can deal with applications about condominium-related common issues including Condominium Records, Pest and Animals, Vehicles, Parking and Storage, Noise, Odours, Vibration, Light, Smoke and Vapour, and Compliance with Settlement Agreement.

The Condominium Authority Tribunal (CAT)

WSIB is an independent trust agency operating under the Ministry of Labour. WSIB provides no-fault liability insurance and workers’ compensation to Ontario’s workplaces. Employers registered with the WSIB pay monthly premiums. The coverage can include full medical care for people injured at work as long as necessary until they are able to return to work, assistance re-entering the workforce if necessary. In the event of a fatality, WSIB also provides financial help to the surviving spouse and the dependent children. Every year, the WSIB receives approximately 250,000 claims and pays over $2.5 billion in benefits.
